Membership is free and you will be joining over 44,000 Public and Private Security Professionals nationwide in an organization that is committed to hardening our nation’s critical infrastructure.

InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. InfraGard Chapters are geographically linked with FBI Field Office territories.

InfraGard is a tremendous organization with members in 87 chapters, representing all 18 sectors of our Nation’s critical infrastructures CIKR/NIPP. These are selfless men and women who choose to volunteer their time, their knowledge, and their experience to make a difference through collaboration, the sharing of best practices and building relationship based on trust to protect critical infrastructure from physical and cyber threats. From drinking water supplies to communications systems, chemical production processes to agricultural resources, Americans depend on a select group of critical infrastructures to sustain our way of life. Any attempts to harm or destroy these resources would directly impact the security of the United States and its citizens. Most of these systems and services are owned and operated by private industry. Therefore, the protection of our nation’s infrastructure cannot be accomplished by the federal government alone. It requires coordinated action from numerous stakeholders – including government, the private sector, law enforcement, academia and concerned citizens.
